El Gran Tesoro (The Great Treasure) explores the offering as a way of symbolically intervening in what cannot be controlled. Believing, offering and waiting form a ritual sequence in which desire ceases to be an abstract possibility and acquires gesture, object and direction.
The focus is not on wealth as a subject, but on the way the mind anticipates it, represents it and attempts to draw it closer through an action invested with meaning. The offering guarantees no result, but transforms our relationship with what is desired: it organises expectation, gives form to desire and allows us to act where we have no control over what is going to happen.
The break appears in the distance between the gesture and its efficacy. Reality may not respond, but the need to invoke, offer and wait remains. Belief does not eliminate uncertainty; it allows us to establish a relationship with it.
According to a local belief: “Those who worship the Great Treasure attract patterns of wealth as real as possessing the treasure itself.”
